Greenville Water Authority (GWA) is proud to be a customer focused, community owned water utility providing a continuous source of quality water at an affordable price. Reliable water service is the foundation of public health and promotes stability for future development. The Authority consists of a five member Board of Directors and employs eleven employees. The Authority was incorporated in 1942. Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Authority office located at 44 Clinton Street, Greenville, PA.
GWA maintains a two million gallon per day conventional treatment plant, a booster pump station and five water storage tanks that hold approximately three million gallons of water. The treatment plant was constructed in 1990 and produces about 900,000 gallons per day. The distribution system consists of 28 miles of main line in the Town of Greenville and 12 miles in Hempfield Township and West Salem Township. The Authority serves a population of approximately 7,500 consumers through 3,000 service connections.
GWA works continuously to monitor and improve the water treatment process. We are committed to ensuring the production and distribution of high quality water and to reinvesting in our infrastructure.
